Dear readers, I know we have largely been silent for just a few days short of five months. And for that, we are sorry; our intentions for this digital diary is to keep friends and family abreast of our travels and hopefully encourage anybody reading to take the scary leap and chase their dreams. The time between then and now has been chock full of adventures, mishaps and dream-chasing. The brief explanation is pretty mundane: we generally have been busy working (on the boat and our nine-to-fives) with a healthy dose of exploring and making sure that each year we live isn’t just a repeat of the last one.
While most television (or streaming service) series would just give you a 15-second highlight reel and dump you into the present episode, I think that taking that approach would be the lazy way out of this backlog we have allowed to build up. To that end, we promise that in the coming weeks you will be given the chance to get caught up on our journey at the level of detail (even if slightly fuzzy due to the passage of time) which you have come to expect.
So don your PFDs, apply some sunscreen and welcome back aboard…
